it's not what you'd think:  snow, freezing rain, and ice pellets....in the middle of april.  please god, let the sun come out.

and i'm posting a photo of myself and my friend Susan Lawrence, taken in 1976 at the bluffs in Scarborough, Ontario (pic taken by son Chris, 8 years old).  Susan died on March 25, and her memorial will be tomorrow in Toronto.  There will be a lot of music to celebrate her life.

Second photo is back in 2001, rehearsing with some members of the Song Circle who played and sang back-up on a tune of mine.  from left to right:  Debbie Carrol; Susan Lawrence; Dominic Walther (daughter Amanda is one half of the duo "Dala"); Zoe; Dave Gallagher; Matthew Shuster (just died in Dec. 2012).  Judy Simpson took the picture, and sang on the tune too, which is on the "Hook, Line & Singer" CD.
