picture time
Here we are playing our little hearts out. I love singing.
From Dorset's evening (April 15) of 'wine, words, music and art': myself on keys with john deehan on sax.
From the Nice Bistro in Whitby (April 20), with an appreciative audience, and the most generous and delightful host and hostess, Manon and Bernard. The food is fabulous; go there and enjoy it!!
Photos show Norm Amadio, piano; John Deehan, sax; Zoe, vocals. And after the gig, Manon & Bernard. Merci mille fois to them.

drawings are better anyway
further to my last post about the gig sunday, and my having forgotten my camera:
i have a very artistic neighbour, who shall be known as EB, who attended and all through the show was making drawings based on each song - WITH HER EYES CLOSED!!
i was impressed by that and am including a few of them here.
the banff song - about my residency there at the school of fine arts, and the work i did on Zootcase, my show. also about the wonderfulness and beauty of Banff.
purple shorts - about an affair i had once with a very young and talented guitar player. i blame everything on the hot summer and his shorts as he biked in front of me.
bloomin' blues - about taking care of the earth
the pink room - about the room in our family house; all the memories and activities after the house was emptied and being sold.
and 'sing' - about my tune entitled 'sing that song'. everyone has to sing their own song: 'all your troubles and your joys; keep on making your own noise'.
hope you enjoy her work.

sing your song
day after a lovely gig yesterday afternoon. the morning started out horribly, with rain and fog; humping all that equipment in the wet...
we were at the little shop called earthsong village; we being myself and the hugely talented guitarist, Marg Stowe, doing all my own tunes. the audience was most appreciative, and laughed at all my stories too. i, of course, was appreciative of their attendance.
music doth indeed have charms. the sun came out and everything.
however, i forgot the camera.

oo la la, et si je pourrais etre a Paris..
wouldn't it be nice to be in Paris right now?; see the spring come in? eat at all those fabulous restaurants. se promener along the champs elysee? 'ave a leetle glass of wine?
but here i am, still suffering with the long slow winter of ontario, although it is sunny at least today. still....
so to remind myself that i once did get there, here are some pics of me at famous Parisian landmarks. and don't forget i will be singing en francais at the Nice Bistro in Whitby. Wednesday, April 20, 2011; 7pm to about 9:30. Norm Amadio on piano, and John Deehan on sax - wonderful musicians!!
Venez nous ecouter. come and listen.
